We are increasingly being asked by customers whether we can add ashes to a piece of jewelry. This is a way to create a treasured memory of a deceased loved one, keeping this person close to you.
You can hardly get more personal than a piece of cremation jewelry, and our consultants will be happy to guide you through this.
Ashes jewelry
There are two ways we can create a memorial or piece of jewelry with ashes for you. There is the option of having an entirely personal design made.
Our designers will then create a design based on your wishes, with a special closed ash chamber to which ashes can be added. Do you have your own design in mind and would you like more information about the possibilities and the costs? Then contact our consultants. They will discuss the possibilities with you and make you a non-binding price estimate. Based on this, you can decide whether you want to have the design drawn. Another option is to customize a piece of jewelry on our website. This is possible for many different pieces of jewelry. Likewise, when a piece of jewelry is customized, an extra space is created for a special ash chamber to which ashes can be added.
What is an ash chamber?
An ash chamber is a special open space that our designer draws in the design of the memorial jewelry. Once the jewelry is at the finishing stage, the ashes are inserted into this space. After adding the ashes, a lid is soldered onto this extra space. After finishing the jewelry, you will no longer see any of this, but you will have a very beautiful and tangible keepsake of your lost loved one. The remaining ashes will of course be returned to you with your handmade jewelry.
How are the ashes processed?
When you order ashes jewelry from us, it is of course important that we receive the ashes from you. You can send them to us as soon as you agree with the design, or make an appointment in our showroom to drop off the ashes if you feel more comfortable doing so and live in the area.
As soon as we receive the ashes, they will be placed in our vault until the ring is ready for finishing. The ashes are then very carefully inserted into the ash chamber by our goldsmith. As space is limited, only a small amount of ashes can be added. The remaining ashes will go back into the vault until your jewelry is prepared for shipment.
All our jewelry is made to order, so an adjustment is quite easy to make.

Fingerprint memorial jewelry
Some customers like to have a more visible reminder of their loved one made. This can be done by adding the deceased's fingerprint to a piece of jewelry.
There are two ways we can do this for you. We can add the fingerprint by laser engraving, or by casting the fingerprint along with the jewelry. Our consultants will be happy to advise you on this.
If you have a good-quality fingerprint, you can email a high-resolution scan of it to us. The fingerprint will then be incorporated into the jewelry of your choice. You can read more about this in our knowledge base at Fingerprint engravings.
