We always assume that a ring that slides smoothly over the knuckle and then sits comfortably is the best fit. Having tried the various sizes at different times of the day as outlined in our explanation, use your knuckle as your best guide. It's a fact that our fingers get a little thicker over the course of the day. Hormone levels or hot or cold weather can also make it difficult to determine the right size. In the unlikely event that the ring doesn't fit quite right, it can be adjusted for you in most cases.
How lovely that you want to surprise your partner with a beautiful ring! Understandable that you want it to be kept a surprise. We have some tips for you. Does your partner have a ring that he or she wears often and that you know fits well? Then compare it with our size chart. You can print out this file and if you put the ring on the box that matches most, you will know the size.
Another option is the ring sizer. If you state upon ordering that you don't know the size, you will automatically receive a ring sizer. You can compare the ring sizer to an existing ring or, if you dare, you can try it on your partner when they are asleep. Please be reassured: should the ring not be quite right? Then in most cases we can adjust it for you at a special rate. Good luck in determining your ring size!
Nice that you have your eye on a ring from DiamondsByMe! You can view the ring's dimensions very easily. Take Crystal rnd 2 ring for example. At the top right of the image, you will see a picture of a ruler. Click on this and it will show you the ring's dimensions. If you see a ring with a choice of stone sizes, the dimensions of the ring for each stone size can be viewed through the ruler.
If you buy a ring from us, it can be customized in most cases. If the ring needs to be reduced one ring size, we charge a special rate from €15 for gold and silver rings within the 30-day trial period, including reshipping. For an enlargement of up to one size within the trial period, we charge from €20 for gold and silver.
If the ring needs to be enlarged or reduced by more than one ring size, or if the ring is made of platinum, we will make a quote for this.
If a ring is set all around with stones and needs to be adjusted, we will make a separate quotation for this. If a ring needs to be customized after the 30-day approval period, please contact us for the price.
Everything you need to know about your ring-size
It is not always easy to determine a ring size. If you already have a well-fitting ring, you could measure the inside of the ring. If the inside measurement is for example 18 mm, then this is also the size you select on the website.
If you can't recover what your ring-size is, you can always specify when ordering that you do not know the ring size. We will send you a free sizing set right away, which makes it easy to measure your ring size. Often, the fingers are slightly thicker in the evening than in the morning. That is why it is better to record your ring size in the evening. If you can't wait we made you an easy-to-use printable chart to measure your own ring size. Please make sure your printer is set to 100 percent for accurate size. It is also possible to make an appointment at any of our stores where we can help you find the perfect ring size.
If your ring is still too small after you have received it, we can off course customize this for you for most rings. For resizing 1 size or 1.5 size we charge a different price depending on the country we need to send it back to.
